Joey Andrews is delivering for Southwest Michigan

State representative Joey Andrews, born and raised in Southwest Michigan, is a fourth-generation small business owner and attorney who is getting results for us in the Michigan legislature. Joey knows there’s more work to be done, so he’s running for re-election in Michigan's 38th House District to keep putting southwest Michigan first.

Joey Andrews’ first term in the Michigan House of Representatives has proven to be a very productive one, by any measure. Since taking office, Joey has shown unwavering commitment to progress and advocacy. He led efforts to repeal damaging “Right to Work” laws and defended reproductive rights, ensuring access to essential healthcare services. His support helped pass the expansions of the Elliott Larsen Civil Rights Act, which has advanced equality statewide.

Moreover, Joey's tenure witnessed significant investments and advancements in the district. Spearheading initiatives on crucial issues like shoreline erosion, he secured funding for vital studies and projects, safeguarding the region's natural resources. He also worked tirelessly to help ensure the passage of House Bill 4292, which, since being signed into law by Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, has forgiven $12 million in school debt for Benton Harbor Area Schools, and a total of $114 million in school debt across all of Michigan. Joey's leadership also attracted major economic developments, including the Palisades Nuclear Energy Project, a $300-million investment for the historic, first-in-the-nation re-powering of a nuclear plant at Palisades. Re-electing Joey is essential for the continued progress and prosperity of Michigan's 38th House District.
